On December 4, 2015, Sol Schwartz & Associates closed their office as employees gathered to volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank and do their part in the fight against hunger in the state of Texas.
The San Antonio Food Bank provides food and grocery products to more than 500 partner agencies in 16 counties throughout Southwest Texas. The mission of the SAFB is to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education, and advocacy.
This corporate initiative was spearheaded by the Shareholders of Sol Schwartz & Associates. In addition to volunteering, 31 pallets were filled, 1,240 bags filled amounting to 18,600 lbs. of food providing meals for 14,880 meals.
“Not only was it rewarding giving back but we also had the opportunity to learn about the different ways the San Antonio Food Bank contributes to the community,” noted Jeff Albrecht, Managing Shareholder for Sol Schwartz & Associates. “They do a remarkable job in helping people in need and I was grateful to share this experience with my Sol Schwartz & Associates colleagues.”
