Cynthia Ruiz from Texas A&M University-San Antonio, who impressed us with her dedication and academic record, is this year’s recipient. (Since this article was originally published, Cynthia has become a valued member of our team and currently serves as a Tax Manager.)
“We are thrilled to award these scholarships to some of the brightest young students majoring in accounting today,” said Bennett Allison, Shareholder.

In 2005, Sol Schwartz & Associates created the Accounting Scholarship Award to celebrate the firm’s 25th anniversary and assist dedicated college students pursuing careers in the challenging field of accounting.
This prestigious award, totaling $10,000, is granted to one or two exceptional accounting students in San Antonio. The specific scholarship amounts for each recipient are determined by the Scholarship Committee.
Eligibility is restricted to junior accounting majors or senior accounting majors continuing their education in San Antonio. Applicants are evaluated based on their academic performance, financial need, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
The firm has excitedly watched over the years as scholarship recipients have gone on to complete their college educations, launch successful careers and earn their CPA credentials. We look forward to many more success stories in the years ahead!
